  1. Great coffee.

Weekdays I drink Eight O'Clock columbian whole bean. Decent enough, full flavored and smooth. Weekends I indulge. I drink Alma Coffee Embrace or Soulmate roasts. Wonderful flavor, silky smooth and they're a local business near me. https://myalmacoffee.com/
  2. US Navy mocked for image of captain firing gun with back-to-front scope

How many people saw and approved that pic before it reached the interwebs? Shooter: ✅ Photographer: ✅ Story writer: ✅ Editor: ✅ Web publisher: ✅ I weep.
  3. O.J. Dead

This is the one time I will applaud cancer. It finally took care of one of the bad ones.
  4. Curious where people draw the line money wise when it comes to care for your dog?

It's a horrible thought but wife and I have discussed it. A one-time cost (operation or whatever) would be about $7500. If it were an on-going monthly maintenance cost, it would probably be around $250 a month. Of course, ultimately we don't know for sure. It's easy to put a dollar amount on...
  5. Probably two of the funniest movies ever.

Leslie Neilson > * OMG! Somebody else has seen Hooper?!!? I thought that movie was buried in the deepest recesses of my adolescent mind!!
  6. Happy Infringement Day!

You know, I've read both accounts. I can't actually corroborate whether he died before the scheduled date or after. Ultimately, the problem was he was absent. His counsel failed but with no defendant and no affidavit and nobody paying them, they couldn't and didn't argue the case. The judges...
  7. Happy Infringement Day!

Well, to be more precise, happy St. Valentine's Day Massacre Day! On this day in 1929, 7 'Bugs Moran' gang members were shot to death by Al Capone's henchmen. No big deal, right? WRONG! This incident was the impetus of the 1934 National Firearms Act, arguably the biggest infringement on the...
  8. Garland Mountain Burns Down

I saw that this morning. I love that place! We've been there many times and even a few times just for brunch. Love the atmosphere and views. I hope they rebuild quickly and keep the same motif!
  9. Really? No way to silence a FEMA Alert Test?

Liberals do that every day though....
  10. High school reunions…who goes to them?

Nope, never been probably never will. Mostly because it's 1200 miles away from me! I had a blast in HS, but that was then... Can't relive it and I'm afraid I'd be depressed at how a lot turned out.
  11. Any Automotive Sound Experts out there ??

My advice is to call Crutchfield. They are truly the experts in car audio and can advise you on exactly what you need. The other option is to see if someone rebuilds the amps. If you go that route, get all of them done at once. If one goes bad, the others are going to follow.
  12. Inground yellow jacket nest .

    For your viewing pleasure:
  13. Finally had my AD

Obligatory witty remark: Just think, if you were carrying a 9mm, you would have blown your lung clean out!! Serious comment: Thanks for posting, it offers a wake-up call and reality check. I'd say go buy a lottery ticket but I think you used up your luck for the year.
  14. I left my carbon footprint on I-20 near Talledega 5 years ago today!

But, isn't she supposed to be cu... err, arriving, arriving?? 😄
  15. What should it cost to replace a water heater

For a professional? About a grand, maybe a little more if it has to be brought up to current code. If you've done basic plumbing before, it's not rocket surgery... well, it might be if you mess up the gas connections bad enough. It does take tools, probably a pipe cutter and de-burrer, pipe...
  16. The mountains are gone. Smoked out

No, it's the wood burning pizza ovens in NY! Good thing they're working on banning them 🤨 🙄
  17. You know what an upside down pineapple means?

Hello?? Just look for the upside down pinapple! Haven't you been paying attention?
  18. You know what an upside down pineapple means?

Yep! I lived in Bridgemill for 5 years, met some pretty interesting people that, umm, enjoyed pineapples! The Publix just outside of Bridgemill had some nice shopping scenery too! The mothers/wives would leave the pool, hit the store for dinner wearing their best pool attire!
  19. Adventure Outdoors and BATF

Hmm, I wonder when they're going to be raiding and auditing package stores? I mean, according to the CDC, alcohol kills more people directly and indirectly than guns. There should be a 5 day waiting period for alcohol purchases and no high capacity stuff either! Only 1 liter or less! /sarcasm
  20. $400,000 missile to shoot down a $12 balloon.

Ok, everyone on ODT: Let's head to Hobby Town, pick up a $12 baloon and give the Air Force some target practice! I figure we release 1000 baloons all at once and watch the fireworks!
