No advice on the fishing but if it gets that bad, take the the family over to Etowah and ride the Hiawassee Loop train. It follows the river from Reliance all the way up the mountain and you can see the lake from the top where it stops.
I tried that yesterday but when I took the covers off there were NO thermostats in there. Just the springs! I did get flow from the thermostat seat area but it was not much pressure. No water ever came out of the engine thru the open cover holes. I have tried back flushing thru the tell tale...
Yes I changed the water pump but have not checked the thermostats yet. Even after the new pump I'm getting a weak stream from the tell tale hole. No pressure in the gauge. I have removed the gauge hose and blew thru it and the gauge works. Might order some new thermostats and try them.
Anybody out there know of a good outboard motor mechanic on the east side? I'm having cooling issues with a older Johnson 150.
Was thinking about using Gwinnett Marine. Any opinions on them?
Thanks
Check out the Wilderness Systems Ride series. I have 2 of the Ride 135's and they work great. Very comfortable seats and plenty of room and storage and very stable. They are at the top of your price range but well made boats with good thick plastic. Look for a used one or check The Outside World...
We used some of the Berkley Gulp fake chicken livers last weekend and they worked great! Them things stink and will not sling off the hook. We caught multiple fish off the same chunk. Big cats too. Our biggest was a 20 lber. No more tub of livers and panty hose for me.
