It's a factory CMMG. The magazine catch has been a nuisance for a while but the gun always fired. Now it goes click on the cartridge. I always shoot it suppressed.
I've always had trouble getting the magazine to catch. It easily catches when the upper is removed. Is the bolt in the way? My mechanical skills are poor. Now with a cartridge chambered I pull the trigger and all I hear is a click. I the bolt looks clean, I cleaned it again, without...
I swapped out the plastic handguard for a walnut hand guard. I trimmed it some.
Now I can not get the cylinder, piston and plug to seat. If I tilt the gun it slides up.
Thank you all for sharing your knowledge.
Frank.
I am converting my Saiga 5.45*39 so it can use AK hand guards. I bought a new gas tube and a bolt on lower hand guard retainer. I am using the handguards from an Arsenal.
The bolt will not go all the way forward. It goes in only until it flares out from the unpainted portion. Am I to cut a...
All things considered this is a significantly better outcome for you than I expected. I'd eat the $105 and move on. I've had nothing but bad luck lately with gunsmiths. I would gladly pay $105 for a mulligan. A few times.
I'm in my Hell is other People mood.
I have a S&W 17-2 that was hot blued. I took it to the range yesterday and a few of the chambers had too much blue and the bullets would not fit fully flushed. The cylinder would not rotate without forcing in the ammo.
What should I use to remove the extra blue from the chamber with scratching...

I just dropped off a revolver with Dave for a hot blue. He had several high end engraved shot guns there for rebluing. Prices seemed very good, he has a nice shop and was great to deal with, give him a call.
I added photos. That wire protruding in the 3rd and 4th photos looks like it shouldn't be sticking out, but I am not sure where it goes. I also don't know the correct position for the small lever held in place by the screw that the wire is wrapped around. Also there are two clips on the bolt...
I have a Winchester 121D that worked fine. Before I decided to take the stock and bolt off for a cleaning. Now that it's back together the bolt moves as it should but I did something and now it won't fire. The trigger moves smoothing back and forth but there is no click when I pull the trigger...
It's now working. A SINCERE THANK YOU TO ALL. Lots of little nuances that need to be followed. Next time I will be more careful and closely follow the instructions.
When is Glock gonna come out with a full sized 22LR with a TB dammit!!
I'm on YouPorn all the time and I've never seen a video on a 22/45. :)
Thanks everyone, I will keep fiddling with it and try to find this site you refer to as Youtube.
I do love the gun, I picked it over a 1911-22 or a M&P 22, the learning curve is a bit steeper than expected tho.
My 22/45 won't fire or dry fire.
The gun worked fine until I cleaned it. I must have reassembled it incorrectly. Now I can pull out the lever, but the main spring housing won't swing out from the gun. The photo shows how far it will come out.
I took my new to me (and no longer for trade cuz it aint workin) 36-1 to Wilson Shoals today. Sometimes it fired, sometimes I pulled the trigger and the hammer didn't move, while the trigger stuck as shown in the photo. I fiddled with the hammer and it fired a few rounds then ceased working...
