If you're willing to send it off, look up Black Bush Armory, they've done some real nice work for me very reasonable, I've posted a thread on ODT about them.
If staying local, I think @Hood886 and maybe some others may be of help
These were a limited run, 2013 I believe? I'll have to look again, but I think they were made for Davidson's. My wife's favorite color is green so I knew I had to get it for her when I saw it!
They both came with rails but you have to install them yourself. I wish Ruger would just install see-thru rails from the factory and just be done with it, it would have made this process a whole lot easier.
I guess. I took the rail from my other 10/22 and swapped them, they were both fine on the green one and both tilted terribly on the blue one. I thought it was the receiver at first. But when I removed the v block, the problem got a little better so I knew I was on the right track...
Just bought a brand new 10/22 and had to install the rail. Why in the world do they coat the black finish right over those filler screws?!?!? I liked to have NEVER got those out!
Next issue...got the rail installed and it looked like the screws were drilled off-center. The rail was all...
Dang man, that's an awesome job! I've always been afraid the drill bit would walk when it hits the edge of the barrel, so I've never tried it.
This is done to allow room for the thickness of a handguard retainer
I'm not up to date on PSA parts so I'm not sure how they're priced, how well they're made, etc. They may be perfectly fine but I don't know enough to speculate. Your friend thinks along the same lines I do, but it's a lot to do with personal preference. I'm a buy once, cry once kind of guy...
My old build thread may give you some insight. I had them remove the side rail for the specific look I was going for.

When I sent my rifle to BlackBush Armory, they supplied the correct gas block for me, so they may have a source for some of your parts. However, I did have mine converted to a 45 degree gas block, so there is that.
I sourced my parts off the AK groups on MEWE, Gunbroker, and some of the other...
