A big doe came out at 80 yards. I put the crosshairs on the pump station and let it rip. I couldn't see much through all of the smoke, but I thought that I heard her crash. I'll get down and check shortly.

Wife didn't get me up, so here I am playing on the computer. I guess I'll have to do errands that were planned for this afternoon in the morning.
I have to admit I'm jealous. I've got the vacation time but it's impossible to get my girls to daycare and then get to the woods before sunrise. Daycare is 30 minutes north of house and the property I have access to hunt is 45 minutes south of the house.
dang I am starting to itch to go hunting. Might be Thanksgiving week before I can go , too much travel now
Great day in the woods, but nothing other than squirrels so far. I'm sitting in the stand all day today. It's just to good not too.
The rut started where I’m at. Found a couple rubs and scrapes. Had a buck sniffin 3 does yesterday
When he starts running behind those does and the does are running for their lives is when you know the rut has started. It's gonna be another 2 weeks or so where I am.
