10/18 a.m hunt

I just had a big one cruise through. Wouldnt give me a shot. He acted like he was following his nose and cruising for does. I might have to stay here another hour or 2.

I didn't notice through all of the smoke that she crossed back over the logging road twice and went back the way she came. Smart old girl turned a circle on me. Almost threw me off a bit.

Shot this 9pointer this morning a little before 8. Neck starting to swell and hocks turning. He was cruising thru an oak flat loaded with white oaks.

Appreciate it, this was my first hunt this year. Back problems have kept me out of the woods until this morning. Felt great being back in the stand! I have to add dragging and getting him to go for a ride in the truck by myself was a -----.
