We got seated against a giant Poplar and had a raccoon walk up close to us. I had to scare him off he was so close. Lol That was all the excitement we had this evening.

Wind and temps are dropping. Should be a good evening.

Temps dropped a little in Oglethorpe county but the danged wind sure didn't. Saw four does and got to watch them eat acorns for a good long time. None of the guys showed up. Back at it in the mornin'. Good luck all!

Watched a button feed for 45 mins, got within 15 yds. of my shooting house as it fed on the acorns. Had to run him off so I could get down, but he almost wouldn't leave! Made all kinds of noises and he just stood there looking at me, it was a great opening day!

Watched squirrels fight, argue, run around and bury nuts all day
Hopefully tomorrow deer will come by
