Between this rifle and Burdys Ruger #1 those are probably the best looking rifles I've seen on this site..Yes, the stock is pretty. Stupid expensive, but the hearts want what the heart wants. The receiver is really what kicked off the process, though. I thought the bronze was just too cool, and since it was 2x the weight of an aluminum one I had to go with a full target build. I also wanted to highlight the color so kept everything else black. Except the trigger, since red triggers are also cool.
The wait time was mostly me saving my pennies before I pulled the trigger. They actually had the stock available for order when I was ready, so they shipped it out pretty quickly.
The only downside was that my stock was part of a batch that was out of spec. The action wouldn't fit, so they offered to 1) let me return the stock and refund my money; 2) return the stock and receive a new one from the next run (time TBD); or 3) keep the stock at a discount.
I took option #3 and spent some quality time with a dremel tool and some Dykem transfer marking fluid...
That really is a 10/22, inside a High Tower Armory stock, just in case anyone thought I was just being funnyHere are both of my 10/22s, one is slightly more modified than the other
I like 1 of them. LOLHere are both of my 10/22s, one is slightly more modified than the other
Ha Ha! Not pretty? Well that's in the eye of the beholder. I guarantee you EVERY 10/22 idiot on this thread (like myself) would jump on one of these and put just about everything else on hold if they couldn't afford both.My go-to 22 rifle. Not pretty but functional:View attachment 4599836
It depends. Will it accept 10/22 rotary mags?
