Didn’t make the morning hunt but been in the stand a while this afternoon. Just saw 2 doe pass by about 250 yards out.
A mediocre 8 point and a small 6 point just trotted across the peanut field at 468 yds. They had somewhere to be, other than the field.
Covey of quail picking peanuts just on the edge of the field. Deer moving pretty good around...lots of shots in distance this evening.

4 pt walked out in edge of my pasture, checked a scent tree and about a minute later an 8 point came out and they spared for a about 8 or 9 seconds. This was neat to watch. Tried to video but they were 167yds away and it was getting dark..
I've spent the last two years renovating this 6.5 acre pasture and clearing around the edges so they had good forage. I let the pasture go uncut after July. These are good signs.
