I didn't hunt this morning, although I wish I had because my neighbor said there was a stud buck walking around. I got out tonight, and I had a small one walk under my stand right at the end of legal light. I tried to scare it off with a buck roar, which always works, and the darn thing stood there for 5 minutes just grunting back at me...
Had 7 squirrels driving me
Absolutely insane under
My tree last 2 hours of light.
Then the squirrels scattered when I played a great horned owl call on my phone except for one.
Heard more noise and thought it was a squirrel but turned out a small doe was under my stand sniffing doe pee for 20 min before dark.
She peed herself a few times and took a dump which smelled bad up to my stand.
I think she was hot because she kept looking towards every noise and followed after some heavy foot steps into the pines.
She was old enough to shoot but I was looking for more vittles than she had.

saw a spike in hall co. Didn't seem to have a care in the world about looking for ladies....
