Good morning enthusiasts, its 58 and 9 mph winds here in Harlem. Potentially a great day to harvest a nice deer.


My normal spot is closed today so, we will see how it goes.

I'm out trying, but got some new info last night that both explains why I haven't been seeing much and puts in question how good the rest of this season and probably next season will be.

Apparently the landowner to the southeast corner of our property got tired of deer eating his crops and brought 5 guys from Florida in and told them to shoot everything that moves. Second hand info relayed from the processor I use, but they have supposedly already shot 60-70 deer.

No idea if he got the depredation permit, and I understand the issue with them eating his crops, but to try to wipe out every deer in the surrounding area is a pretty d**k move in my opinion.

I know at least 2 of the surrounding property owners are rather pissed about it, but idk if there is anything that can be done about it legally.

Down on my creek bottom this morning. Very quiet, no wind and no shooting. Saw a small buck at first light and a fast moving yote a bit later.

Been in tree since 6:30. Saw a small 4 with right side broken off about 1/2hr ago. Warm but no wind yet here in Walton Co. nothing on cameras last night so we’ll see. Good luck y’all!

South West Ga. Nice this morning. Had a button head stay for about 30 minutes. I cant complain. A few shots around me so far.

I am up to three small bucks and five does. Bucks were all singles, just walking through. Have not heard a shot this morning.

Got in to a few woodies this morning. 2 birds shy of a 4 man limit. We all had other commitments to get to and couldn’t wait for stragglers to finish out the limit
