Sat from 1pm to too dark to use my scope and didn't see a thing. Cooler said things have slowed down and he also comments that they are only getting bucks in right now. Sounds like does have been locked down for breeding.

I’m soooo jealous of all you!!!! I’ll be going hunting finally next Monday. I’ll come home towards the end of the month or when my family or work demands it( about 3 days I estimate). I’ve been to busy at work to do any hunting so far. The positive is I’ll have plenty of time to hunt during the next recession!

Seen the same, but the does still have their fawns, which makes me think it’s gonna get better.

We’re still seeing some does with fawns in tow and also some fawns on their own. Lots of chasing going on. The rut is getting geared up in Carroll Co.

All the does I saw last weekend in Crisp County still had little ones following them around. Couple of younger bucks that were trying to chase, but the 3.5 yr old buck I shot Sunday afternoon had not even started to rut yet. He just happened to be out eating in the wrong place at the wrong time. Hoping its kicked up a notch by this weekend.
