As to the magazine release, you need to clearance the inside of the mag catch to clear the magazine. With the slide off and magazine out, look through the mag well while pushing the mag release in as far as it will go. You will see what sticks into the magwell and needs to be clearanced.

Posted my second build and noticed I never listed a resolve to that issue. It ended up being something very simple! The sear spring was my old one and was bent in, pushing inside the frame on the back of the magazine. Very simple fix just had to figure out what was going on! haha.
