1911 Guys, Can we talk about these new Para USA guns?

My soon to be gone expert was a tack driver. Would eat anything I shot. If I decide to get another 1911 I think it'll be a para, just not stainless. That's why I'm trading mine tomorrow, I can't get used to a stainless auto. I guess I might be a touch on the "special" side but I just can't do it lol.

Buy one. If you don't like it, sell it off. Those of us old enough to remember, remember unreliable guns you had to either feed hardball or send off for work. Not so much these days.

that stainless looks good.

Yeah it does. To each his own but after owning blued, parkerized, and even beretta's "bruniton" finish, I love everything about my satin-finished stainless para. Definitely getting my money's worth out of my new 1911. Consistently tight patterns at the range at 25 yards and the only reason it's not better is shooter error hahah.

I can't speak to the single stack Para's but after owning a P14 and a P12 I will NEVER own anything with Para's name on it again.

Well, I will have to say this is one of the finest pistols I own. Accuracy is excellent and the finish is outstanding. This is the second one I've owned and is unfired. The other has over a thousand rounds fired (300 or so from me) and still looks new including the barrel. Amazing. The one below is the Black Ops single stack 5". Thin enough to carry well.

A review that doesn't include any information about how a weapon shoots isn't much of a review. He didn't even mention trigger quality.

Very true. There were other reviews saying the new para's were fine shooters, but with the Para USA manufacturing being relatively new I was also skeptical about the fit and finish. That's why i posted that link in particular because he broke his 1911 down with lots of photos. Like I said the match grade trigger on mine feels nice compared to my friend's mid-priced Kimber with an upgraded trigger kit. Not bad IMO considering mine's fresh out of the box without any work done other than the obsessive cleaning job when I broke it down. If you ever make your way up to Gainesville you're welcome to try it.

Beautiful Para. Digging the g10 grips they put on those models in particular. What holster do you carry with?
