Black out trim was a curveball caused by the sand blaster. He didn’t remove the trim like asked. Had no choice but to replace it or paint it. She’ll be a mild budget beauty. Not throwing the bank at it, but not skipping out either. Working hard to find the right people at the right price and spending money on parts and accessories necessary to do it right.
Looking real good and moving along quickly. My OCD needs to know if the trim was removed before painting. When I used to do restoration and custom work, a lifetime ago, removing the trim had potential for disaster. Clips would break or worse the studs would be rusted and twist off. Old vehicles had some interesting fasteners compared to todays peel and stick moldings and emblems.

Hey! Get those wheels out of the back of my C10! 😉

This is one thread I look forward to updates on. Can't wait to see it all buttoned up.

The 80 c10 is a great truck to drive. Cruise at any speed and plenty of pedal if you need to pass. That was a 2.5 hour round trip in it to get the wheels.

Awesome project. Just wish you had kept the lights. That's going to be one sweet family cruiser. Check out the C10 club of Georgia on faceboook. They would love to see you at some cruise ins.
