200.00 tax, waive your 4th amendment and subject to search by ATF at home

Legally owning NFA Items does not require you to waive any of your 4th Amendment Rights. No LEO my enter your home absent Consent, Warrant or Exigent Curcumstance. One of the most quoted Top 8 NFA myths.

You are required to produce the NFA weapon for inspection in a reasonable amount of time at the request of a Federal Agent. You are not required to allow a federal agent to enter your home, search your property or papers. I own NFA items. I have never been visited, and I expect I never will, buy an ATF Agent or any other federal agent.

I am sure you are right....

But, it does give the big boys up in DC a real handy list of places to look if they ever decide to go whole hog and confiscate.

If you own any gun purchased from a FFL or an individual that required a Bill of Sale or any other personal record a list exsist also. If ever a whole hog ban and confiscation occures ALL gun owners will have some real decisions to make.

If you buy from a licensed dealer and fill out a Form 4473 , the dealer is to keep the 4473 for 25 years unless they go out of business or die. In the event that happens, the 4473's are supposed to be sent in to the atf and they are stored in a big warehouse. No lists...

The only places you have to "register" firearms are Socialist paradises such as New York, Kalifornia, etc...

I was not refering to state registration of firearms. The fact the data is stored constitutes a "list". I can tell you from personal experience that the ATF has the ability to trace the movement of a firearm through the FFL channels well beyond 25 years.

I don't forsee any agent federal or state going house to house at least not long term....there is enough "Cold Dead hands" people out there that even serving a warrant could be suicide for LEO. Once the first pop corn kernel pops....it will be hard to stop the chain reaction that will follow.
