2001 S10 Trans Problem

yes the Tahoe 4l60E tranny will work in it

Possible solenoid problem or 4-3 shuttle valve stuck in valve body. usually don't see many solenoid problems unless someone cracks them when removing pan to do a service. The other trans will not work as the imput shaft and convertor are different. If you don't figure it out give me a shout. I worked for gm 25 yrs before I opened my own shop and build quite a few of those transmissions

Whats the best method to cleaning a shuttle valve?

you have to remove valve body and disasemble to clean, but if their is any clutch material or metal in pan, trans has other issues
