2004 Harley V-Rod project.

Finally got the throttle cables flushed and lubed. Now they are worked my great. Filled and bled the rear brake. Also purchased new Bridgestone tires. Kirk’s cycle in Dalton did a great job.

Now it’s time to get a few electrical problems fixed, and replace broken rear turn signal.

1. Any idea how to get the fuel gauge to work?
2. Need to get the gauge lights to work.
3. Turn signals not working or horn.
- Could the turn signals be malfunctioning because of the broken turn signal?
- They flash when turning the security system on and off.
- What others causes could there be?

Why didn’t Harley power more bikes with the Vrod engine? I road the new 114ci breakout, while it was bigger and a little nicer, I think the vrod engine still feels stronger. I also like the sound it make with the rinehart exhaust.

Because Harley is all about tradition, and so they feel that their customer base prefers 1970's tech over something like the VROD.

I would love to see a variant of the VROD motor in the XR1200 chassis. That would be a fun bike!
