Wanted to shed some light on the forend fitment issue you may have or have not heard of... The NEF 12ga protector will accept almost all aftermarket parts made for the Remington 870 except for the barrel. Knowing this info I purchased the protector from wal-mart for $179 then ordered the Magpul Sga stock and forend for $135 off amazon. The Sga stock installed perfectly and with a smooth and clean fit between it and the reciever, however the forend did need some work... The forend was a little tight when I first tried to install it, so here is what worked for me. I took some sand paper and taped it to the end of broom handle (it was actually some old handle bars off my harley) but a broom handle will work too. I sanded the inside of the new forend testing the fit every few minutes, after a few minutes I was able to get a perfect (not loose) but snug fit.
