A good nuisance hog hunting rifle

Was going to bring my AK-47 as a back up. I know I can legally hunt hogs with it. Have you hunted with a 7.62x39?

yep, no issues with the hollow points wolf rounds. Never shot a pig over 150 lbs with 7.62x39 though.

Im not an AK guy, so I can't say that I have. I nearly bought an AK, but didn't know enough about them to know if it was a good one. Of course now I'm kicking myself as it was only $500 and now ...well, you know the rest of the story.

Very good Suggestion ^^^ these are VERY reliable Heavy Brush Weapons. Other than that I would go for the .308. It is an excellent all around Caliber. And the ammo NORMALLY is easy to find or the components to Reload them.

Semper Fi, Devil Dog. Marine myself. i shoot a 270 wsm with heavy grain and a remington 30-06. They are both kick butt. Cant wait to get my hands on a nice DPMS in a 308. Then i will feel at home. good luck
