A Tale Of Two Barrels

I have several (3) of the RIA Ultra Tac TCM 2011's. They come with a combo set of barrels and springs. One set for 9mm and another for 22 TCM.

So, they are great shooters and have upgraded the internals on two of them.

Pulled out the 3rd one today and stripped and cleaned it. Got to looking and the 9mm barrel on this one does not have a feed ramp. The other 2 do.

So, defect from the factory?

Maybe their design uses the mag as the feedlips? Do the mags interchange?

Every other barrel has the feed ramp. All 3 TCM barrels and 2 of the 3 9mm ones.

Yea, somebody packed the wrong barrel in the box. Have you ever tried the un-ramped barrel? Not sure it would even fit the frame.

One is a 5" Ultra Tac, other 2 are the 4.xx length. Tried the other 4.xx 9mm barrel but cannot get it to re assemble. The guide rod will not stay snugged to the barrel enough to slide fully closed, it drops/slides down a touch. there is a ridge in the frame bottom that last half inch that prevents it from closing fully.

The unramped 9 barrel looks to have been used, did you buy it used?
If so, the guy gave you the wrong barrel-as CTS mentioned.
