Adventure Outdoors: DPMS AR $495. Deal or not?

I know, I know...AO sucks donkey balls. Blah, blah...I get it.

So, DPMS Panther Oracle 16", $495. On sale Saturday.

I don't know jack about them. I like the fact that it's slick across the top. I'd like to put a basic optic on it and keep it around the house.

Deal or no deal?

Adventure Outdoors does a lot for the gun industry and community, no matter how you feel about their counter side manner. And a reasonable quality AR for under $500 is a good deal. As long as it isn't a poly lower, then it's **** even if it's free.

For what 99% of us do with our AR's, this is a good deal. I've seen them for a little less; but that was in a different time zone. Just don't expect a great trigger and you will be fine.
