Adventures in parkerizing

So do you parkerize the bore or do you plug that?
I plug the bore and once it comes out of the tank I pull the plugs and rinse with water, just in case the plugs leaked. Then oil heavily.

I leave the parts in the tank for 15 minutes with the solution at 185 degrees.

The tank I am using is 6x6x40 and is made by BigJimsGun.com. I also use the jet burner they sell as it gets my tank up to temp in under 10 minutes.

For prep work I use a Harbor Freight blast cabinet with 70 grit aluminum oxide media. The barreled actions will not fit in my cabinet , so I have a small handheld blast gun I use on them outside.

Old Western brand hunting knife that was a barn find. The leather handle was gone and the rest was covered in rust.

Parkerized and added G10 scales, and oiled the sheath well. (First knife handles i have ever done with G10 material so there are plenty of imperfections)
