Aggressive Dog on Property

There is a neighbors dog that comes on our property growling and acting aggressive but doesn’t attack. It has approached me barking in my yard. Do I have the right to “eliminate” the dog on my property if it is barking and growling but doesn’t attack. I don’t want to wait till it bites one of my kids, thanks.

If it's your neighbors, I'd warn him/them, and let the PoPo know, then shoot it the next time it touched my property....if you do not take care of your children....do you expect anyone else to??

Here is what the GA code says about the situation I would imagine as long as you can defend your actions and they fall within the parameters of this you are good.

Many people will cap your ass for killing their dog.... Do not underestimate how passionate people get about their pets.

Honestly, don't put me on that jury. People don't get to kill a dog unless it is a clear and unavoidable threat

This. "Eliminate", what cute way of saying kill. Killing someone's pet would be a last resort to me.
