Algae in pond

Chemical algae killer works great, if used right kill it in sections, if you kill it all at once when it dies it will deplete the oxygen levels in he water enough to kill your fish , just be careful with it

Yeah the 1 gal jug had a small release valve of some sort. It floated around the pond for weeks and slowly controlled the algae.

pretty sure our winter would kill them , that's why we don't have alligators in N GA .. I did see one I Washington county last year.
In Roswell Ga. Two years ago.
 
Im no scientist - but I have read that introducing water lillies and other floating water plants will help absorb some of the sunlight that the algae need to thrive?
