Centrifugal force just snatched him off his seat,
dragged him over the top rail on that thing,
and flung his body across the lawn.

And we manufactured from our skates, the first skateboards that we rode down a steel hill about 1/4 mile past 5 intersections. Crashes didn't involve an ER, heck we didn't even have one in Roswell, 60's. Not one of us had adhd, ibs, ptsd, or any of the alphabet soup ailments that abound nowadays when snow can melt down at any temp.

We had one in our school yard and one basketball net. Poor school. I remember my bike that I won in a church raffle. My folks didn't have a car. We walked everywhere. I rode that bike barefoot and my buddies on the handlebars sometimes. Not these skinny bikes but the one with the real tires and not a seat that was as large as a suppository. I also skated with the iron skates in the streets and sidewalks. The kind that tightened with a skate key.
If I fell and got cut or something. Iodine on it and go back and play. Climbing trees and God knows what else.
