Anybody get drawn for quota hunts?

I know. I keep hoping/waiting for my son to get into hunting (so I'm really just building points). He'll be 13 soon. If the flip doesn't switch, I'll quit waiting.
The odds are posted http://www.georgiawildlife.com/sites/default/files/uploads/wildlife/hunting/pdf/quota/DEER SELECTION DATA 2014-2015.pdf
One point on BFG was a good wager as was 2 points for HLC. http://www.georgiawildlife.com/sites/default/files/uploads/wildlife/hunting/pdf/quota/STATE PARK SELECTION DATA 2014-2015 complete.pdf

Good luck! (In for pics of dead venison.)

The chances for getting drawn are much better if you apply as a group of 2 or more people. My Dad and brother got picked for HLC also. They put in for it and didn't even tell me! Thanks a lot! Anyway, we're all going together so it should be great. My brother took a whopper 8 pointer there 3 years ago. It had 24" main beams and weighed around 225 live weight.

Nice. Yeah it seems every year one or two really nice ones come out of that first hunt. I always apply with one other guy. Not sure if it helps, hurts or is neutral. He also has never used a point but has gotten drawn for the first hunt twice I believe. We're both blanked this year.

Ho ho boy do I have a Berry College quota hunt story, remind me next time I see you DD and I'll tell it.
(It has nothing to do with getting a deer there, lol)....
Can't wait Brother!! Did a night fire course there several years ago, at the range in the back..Snow, sleet and rain the whole time..Went for dinner came back, and all the fields were packed with deer...I mean Hundreds and some even laying down next to the road..Drove by, and all they did was watch...

I got the first hunt at Rum Creek. I tried the past two years with no luck, but this time I applied with three other guys. And didn't wager any of my points either. Got turned down for the dove hunts though.
