Anyone ever been to Amicalola Falls State Park?

Thinking about camping there in December and doing some hiking. I've been to Clayton Georgia to fish and camp near Blackrock Mountain, but I am not familiar with the area of Amicalola.
Are there any fun highlights there?
What should I look out for?

Yea it's great. Check out the falls. There is also the 8 mile approach trail to the AT to the top of springer mountain

Been several times over the years love to walk to falls! Not but few miles to Helen. Great picnic spots and good fishing in lake!

The approach trail is actually one of the best hikes on the entire AT.

Yep - the falls themselves are often quite busy with a broad and diverse sample of humanity.

Check out the Len Foote Hike Inn while you’re there. Amicalola is of the best state parks in my opinion.
