Anyone know the punishment for a drug bust?

And NO it wasn’t me! Someone I know was recently arrested for possession of Heroin. Small amount so no distribution charges. What can this person expect as far as jail time and punishment?

Depends on county arrested, prior convictions, need to know if any guns or weapons involved.

To the OP, most likely a goodly term of probation, fine, some community service -first offender if eligible.

He or she is not going to prison because he or should be released before all the paperwork could be completed.
