Anyone know what kind of plant this is?

Yep, same thing. I cut a couple of.the fruit open. One was soft and the other firm they were both rather drunk inside with no gel at all. I tasted one of the.bulbs and it was flavorless. Dont know when they're to be ripe.

They will turn yellow.

make a very decent lemonade type drink.
