Anyone tried a Px4?

So, if someone disagrees with your opinion, that makes them an a-hole?

How long have you been using the internet? I thought that was common knowledge. Sadly yes, this philosophy has been adopted by several people. There are others that try to please everyones opinion by making everything acceptable so long as you register with the government. Rare is it to find a person that uses common sense.

I had one and was pleased with its performance. Ultimately, I traded it off as I had (and still have) a 92FS that performs just as well ... and has a rich history reliability. That and I simply cannot afford to keep every firearm that I like ... just not enough room or money to do so! So many guns, and so little time (or money)!!!

Rather than listen to some random dude on the internet pontificate about a gun that he wasn't even able to identify until he read the slide, I bought one and tried it out for myself.

It's accurate.
It's reliable. I have 700 rounds through mine thus far without the first malfunction.
I'm left handed, the ambi controls work well.
Recoil is quite manageable.
It carries well in a quality holster.
Reloads are simple, much like every other double stack, polymer gun produced in the past twenty years.

I personally prefer my CZ P07 to the PX4. It boils down to some very minor items.

I don't care for the texture on the PX4, or rather lack of texture. I work with my hands and have a layer of callous, which forces me to grip harder on items with no texture. That is obviously a very subjective observation.

I prefer the grip adapters of the P07. With the medium grip adapter I get a solid three finger grip. The tail of the PX4 Medium Grip Adapter is just a bit shorter and leaves the heel of my palm hanging off just a bit. Again a subjective observation.

The PX4's accuracy is no better than that of the P07.

I ran the IDPA 5x5 Classifier a few times with both pistols. I shot the P07 better and faster each time. To be fair, I've had the P07 for quite some time and have quite a few more rounds through it.

In conclusion, I can do good work with the PX4 Compact. It is a well built, accurate, and reliable pistol with well thought out controls. If I had to choose between the two I'd pick the P07 because it wouldn't require any modifications (ie. frame texturing) to suit my personal preference.

For those that want to customize their PX4 https://www.langdontactical.com/ is the place to go.

I own a sub compact 9mm. Actually quite fond of it, fits my hand well and never an issue with a FTF OR FTE after few hundred rounds fired. Course it all comes to owner's comfort and confidence IMHO.

Shot my buddies the other day and no issues. Shot POA and produced good groups at 7 yards. This is the second one I've shot (other was 40) and neither one had any issues. A little thick in the slide area; but works well to reduce recoil.
Love my .40cal... snap is only for weak wristed people. Put some adjustable rear sights from Beretta on and this is definitely a keeper.
