Yeah, I know the carrier is the issue in my 5.45. It is an out of spec piece of trash that I am not sure why I haven't replaced already. I need to get on that.

Do you think the carrier is undersized or an unusually rough interior finish?

Also pretty sure I figured out what's causing the end cap strikes on the kestrel qd. Looks like the friction plate wasn't locking up the same all around (my fault, messed up the install) replaced the friction plate and looks much better. GonNA try to shoot asap and confirm my hypothesis.

I don't know, it is just a junk carrier I had sitting around when I built my 5.45. I don't even know what brand it is or where it came from. Just something that was in my parts box.
