AR-15 safety

Safety selector is broken, traded into the gun and was told when he put the magpul on it happened. Is this an easy fix?

Had the same thing happen to a neighbor I traded into an AR for him and it ended up having the safety selector messed up.
What magpul item did he say he put on that made that happen?


its an easy fix just gonna cost my neighbor less than $30 to fix but I would like to know how they are doing it to them lol

Should be. All it is is the selector, a spring and a pin. You just have to take the grip screw out to get to the spring. May have to take the trigger out as well if you have to remove the selector.

Broken on the outside or inside. Agree with above. If I can swap one out, anyone can.
Just wonder how it was broken tho'. Possibly some other issue.

I wonder if detent is the problem. Is it loose , sort of rotates easily / sloppy?

Too easy. Just take the grip off. Put a new detent and spring in and put grip back on. Will take all of about 60 seconds.
