So 95% of us hope for a zombie apocalypse. We all have guns, or had them if they were lost in a boating accident but how many are, to take a term from nutnfancy, "squared away"? I think these recent events have gotten many people thinking about how many mags and ammo they have. Do you have enough mags, stripper clips, speedloaders and ammo for your guns? Often times we think that a gun is going to be a safe queen or for the range only, as if its a toy that you play with and put back, but if S really did HTF and you have to bug out or hunker down do you have the accessories to support your firearms? Holsters for carry, slings for long guns, lights for guns, optics for long guns. Personally I'm lacking in many of these areas because for long I just thought about only equipping, outfitting, squaring away the gun I use the most, my EDC G26. I always thought of buying more guns and not those items that could be essential to having. I was just wondering what everyone else's train of thought was on the subject.

If the S does really hit the fan, food and a source of clean water will do you more good than a million rounds of ammo. 5 or 600 rounds and 2 or 3 guns should handle most scenarios

Poll added. Thats good Riddle, I'm getting there. Got mags and ammo on the way. Going to order an optic for my 22 and a light for my shotgun.

With enough guns and ammo the other can be taken if needed. Hope that never happens, but that is how the world works. The wolf can take anything the sheep has.

I think gun and water is a given. Since this site is primarily about guns and not survival I'm just curious as to how we view our guns? As tools or toys? Tools are always ready for the job. Toys you play with and put away. I'm just thinking that if I have to arm my family or myself for that matter I'd want the gun to be properly holstered or slung in case I need to use my hands and I'd want a light for low light situations.

Yea good luck with that Rambo. Anyone who thinks they're the only one with an Ar-15 in the state of GEORGIA has another thing coming. You would have a better chance of survival having mass water and food storage and a Glock 17 than $10,000 in guns with nothing to drink.

Pro tip: It's hard to think rationally when you're thirsty.
