With enough guns and ammo the other can be taken if needed. Hope that never happens, but that is how the world works. The wolf can take anything the sheep has.

C'mon Riddle. You're going to kill your neighbors for their 'preps'? If my neighbor needed a bottle of water or a can of soup, I'm helping.

But if someone comes after my preps with guns blazin', they will have their hands full.

Agree on both counts, but they will not have their hands full long because they will quickly have cold hands

Do you really need to have every gun w/ a full load out for it?

All my handguns have at least 3 mags, cause thats what i carry and at least one holster to match and enough ammo.

Rifle w/ scope, ammo, and sling. (no light, or mags as the rifle i chose for this role doesn't require them)

shotgun w/ ammo (slug and shot), sling, and flashlight

i have other guns, but as they haven't been designated as "apocalypse" weapons, they just have an assortment of mags, ammo, and such... I don't have the time/funding/inclination to deck out every single weapon i have.

I was thinking about this point but really what gun wouldn't be an "apocalypse" weapon if thats all you ended up having? My Remington 1100 isn't going to be the first gun I grab to defend the house with its 28" barrel and 4+1 shell capacity but if thats all I have to give to my brother it would be nice if I had a side saddle and a sling to go with it. Of it it was a snub nose .38 having a speedloader or 2 and a holster would be great. Yea my funds often go towards other purchases. This is another reason why I have consolidated my calibers.

Haha! Not me! I'm just saying this is how people will react. I personally am as preapared as I am going to be. I have food, water, and medical supplies. I was just giving another angle on the scenario.

Riddle I totally agree with you and I hate to say it but if push came to shove and all of my supplies were tapped and all I got is a gun and a hungry family, well I'm going to try to feed my family, thats just human nature. As good-natured as we all are when that survival instinct kicks in you do what you gotta do.

if your premise is you are @ home (or could return) and have access to your weapon stash, and are going to batten down the hatches, then no, i have select weapons for that.

If your premise is the same as above, but instead of staying and fortifying, you have to bug out, then again no, my predetermined weapons will also be called upon.

If your premise is that you are out and about and shtf and i cant readily (within 3 days) return home, then all bets are off and it will be my sidearm w/ 3 mags that will be used to fight my way to a better weapon.

All my other weapons, while could possibly be pressed into service, are not in my batlleplan for frontline use
