ATF Form 1 (Brace, Tax Exempt)

What I want to know is now that it’s an SBR can you put a stock on it or does the brace have to stay?

It’s an sbr, put whatever stock you want on it, whether you register it or not.

I had a feeling from the beginning that the "free" registration was only going to cover whatever brace you submitted, and you wouldn't be able to just throw a stock on it and have a free SBR stamp.

Could be wrong, but that was my guess

Has anybody e-filed and gotten their stamp back yet? I filed, got mine back and realized the completed Form doesn't have a physical stamp on it. It also says "APPROVED WITH CONDITIONS - SEE CONDITIONS ON THE LAST PAGE OF PDF' then "Pursuant to ATF Final Rule 2021R-08F.".

What does this mean? Is my Form 1 going to be revoked if the bill gets overturned like the bump stock ban did? I noticed it didn't have a physical stamp on it so it intrigued me. Sorry if this has already been asked, I'm not good at this forum stuff, please link me if this topic has already been published!

There are several reddit threads on this. You get an approved form 1 with conditions but no stamp, as mentioned above, because the tax wasn't paid.

I found this, this might clear up some questions. Basically TLR; you get a free Form 1 and the ATF considers your brace a stock. Once said form is back approved, you can put whatever the hell you want on the back of your new SBR.
