Atlanta Pro Gun Rally 4/14 EDIT: Permit pulled, legal rally is off...

First of all, I don't understand why you're making this some type of debate. Why can't we have differing, valid opinions without accusations of flawed logic?

Second, are moderates and undecideds supposed to close their eyes and pretend we don't own 300 million guns in this country? Does them not seeing guns really affect their psyche to that degree? So are you saying that their willingness to uphold or deny our 2nd amendment rights lies potentially in them seeing protestors with or without openly visible firearms at a rally? Hmmm. I'm starting to rethink my flawed logic statement.
"Why can't we have differing, valid opinions without accusations of flawed logic?"
Because the actions of a few at a public rally can have negative long term affects on our entire community, so yes, it is up for debate.

"Does them not seeing guns really affect their psyche to that degree?"
You bet your ass it does. Since when has the majority based their opinion on logic, rather than emotion?

Yep! Chess match.....
By "Yep" I mean that it clearly does affect their minds. It's the knee jerk, instant gratification, emotionally charged demo that is at play. No pun intended but you can't give them ammunition.

I'd never show up to a pro hunting rally with a dead deer strapped to my hood. Yet a dead deer is often a part of hunting. As a matter of fact I don't parade dead animals to the general public at all. Most people are not anti hunting. I try and not change their minds .

^^^This is a good analogy. What we have a right to do and how we fight to maintain those rights can be two very different things without being hypocritical.

This is happening at (hopefully) every capitol around the nation. I plan to bring my Colt LE 6920 in support of the 2nd amendment.

We need to give this our best shot. We're running out of options before we are completely backed into a corner.

April 14th, 2 pm, Atlanta capitol. Be there and bring as many folks as you can

Whether you oc or cc, t-shirt or tux,,, just come, we need sheer #'s to do our talking.

I do not talk to the media, they will edit/twist anything that sounds sane
from reasonable hard working patriots.
2pm. State Capitol

He’s right. It’s draining on the soul. I think I will be a little different at the end of this campaign. I believe in the general decency of people but that idea is being tried right now.
Yup, I've said the same thing elsewhere recently. Douglas Adams: The only candidate who's qualified is the one who doesn't want the job.

BTW, your problem that you still consider them to be people.

Just wait until your family gets drug through it. Really drug through it. I've seen what it does. Not pretty.
Be firm in your principles. The rest is secondary.

I disagree. Anyone who is on the fence about guns and and worth convincing is capable of independent thought. An image of a gun-owner [gasp] with a gun shouldn't have such a detrimental effect. If it does, that person was never going to waver in the first place.

Take gay parades, for example. There are always those flamboyant ones shown in the media with their dicks hanging out making the entire group look like Satan's spawn. But when it comes down to it, an independent thinker knows there will always be those in the crowd, while the intolerant will cast that shadow on the entire group no matter what. You guys are trying to appease the intolerant whom will never be swayed.

I'm not saying to show up all balls-to-the-wall in tac gear with your mall ninja rifle, but don't deride or lump those whom choose to open carry into a giant scum bucket.
If those guys who simply need to walk around acting like the big guy with his big guns causes kids, who will be future voters, to follow the manipulation of leftist media propangazing socialist during an impressionable time when their school mates argue them on toward the left, then I think we will all be losers in this twisted storm of half truths.

It really is about image. Showing off your toys has a time and place. I believe if there is even the slightest chance I'd screw it up for everyone by my actions, I would think twice as hard about the big picture and listen to my brothers advice.

Sometimes the biggest fools are the ones in the family who would argue with every relative just for the sake of argument and 'their right to voice an opinion', even if it upsets everyone at the table.

There is a time and place. Do you wear a swim suit into church on Sunday morning, and pretend its normal. Maybe someone would, but the majority would judge him to be a nut.
