I do all of that. I wish donating to NRA and other orgs was more effective though. I really don't see much offense from these orgs. A lot of defense that is effective some of the time. Thing is, being effective some of the time is a losing proposition over the course of years. Like it or not the left has employed tactics focused on swaying the "mob". If we allow them to control the public narrative they WILL win. As distasteful as their game is reality dictates we have to fight their tactics with our own. Just because the media is on their side does not mean we cannot be effective. Most people, especially moderates, know enough about the media to read between the lines and ignore their bs narrative. We desperately need to come together in public and show, create and grow public awareness to the fight for individual liberty in a responsible, reassuring way that society at large can empathize with. We need to at least try to the point where we can honestly look back and say we did our best. If it doesn't work, and the anemic effort at the court level doesnt improve, the more people we have sympathetic to our cause the less of an uphill battle any course of action will be. Its a game of hearts and minds. And we are losing. In order to make headway in the courts the hearts and minds game has to be reversed in our favor.
You are right, but as already mentioned, more importantly is the many who are in the fence about guns in general. They can be swayed one way or the other. They see guys with guns, don't understand why we need/want them, and are influenced by us and by the anti-gun crowd. We need to appeal to their rational minds, because they are the ones that will make or break future votes.
Guys carrying ARs on the backs on the 14th will only help the Leftist anti-gun crowd. It will do absolutely nothing for our cause. This is a battle of propaganda, and having that rifle out will take away from our plight here.
We need to see this from the wavering undecided voters perspective, not the anti-gun crowd who are 100% against us and unchanging.

I agree with you. The NRA is effective tho, if not, they wouldn't be under the attack we are seeing them endure now.
I think you are reiterating the need for us to be civilized. The majority of Americans don't carry, don't shoot regularly, and have zero desire to do so. Many of them are uneducated about firearms but could be on our side if we handle this well.
Some percentage is open minded to gun ownership, maybe has a hand me down in the closet and is on our side, but they aren't vocal or active, and don't shoot. Then a large percentage are against us and unchanging.
Our goal should be the minds of the young and those undecided. Perception is the most important factor here.
If the antifa deceivers plant bad actors in our crowd we need to be the voice of patience, reason, and good behavior. If not, then they will win on the 14th, and we will have shot ourselves in the foot by our own carelessness.
It saddens me to think that some of us would rather try to make some kind of point by looking like a Rambo walking around and end up hurting the whole effort so many will do well on that day.

You remind me of the type of person who is pulled over by a cop for a tail light infraction, but ends up arrested for treating the cop verbally disrespectfully for him doing his job.
Some people will never adhere to advice, listen to reason, or acknowledge authority that maturity teaches us to endure.
