Lord i have turkeys, ducks and chickens and they all free range underneath my wild bird feeders so you know i'm not worried about it. I was just saying that it is still a very big concern to the head guys at the GDoA Poultry and Small Livestock Division. I've been up since 4 am. There ain't much i'd argue about tonight lol.

You beat me. Left the house at 4:30, clocked in at 5:00 and left at 4:15 when the wife dropped off the baby.
I am wanting to get chickens this year since we now do not live in a neighborhood and have a little bit of land. I am trying to decide on a coop, all the pre fab ones have bad reviews, are they not worth the money? another option I pondered was getting an 8x8 shed and modifying it into a coop. any thoughts or advise would be appreciated

Went through the same thing. Just built my own (tractor style). I was disappointed how much I wound up spending but yeah, compared to the prefab, this one will take a direct hit from a nuke. If I ever hear tornado sirens, I'm going in the coop.

Thats why I am leaning towards the shed option.
