Baked okra

Two years I discovered, that you can just oil them (season if you like) and grill them whole. Grab them by the stem side and just bite in.
Cutting them and exposing the seeds to air is what causes the slimness that so many hate. Grilled whole there is none.

Well I bought a bunch more okra and sautéed them instead. They are excellent!

Sautéed them with a little canola oil and salt and pepper. It doesn't take long at all for them to soften up and they're not too slimy. I plated them and added a little more salt and pepper and a sprinkling of lemon juice.

Man, they're good!

I used to always cut the ends off but they're completely edible. I always thought they'd be like bamboo or something lol.
