Be careful whom you dis

This judgment simply says that a keyboard commando can't hide behind their computer anymore. Don't you think a man should be held responsible for the things he says?

You are absolutely correct! You can say just about anything you want to say, but there may be consequences to what you say, and you should be held accountable for what you say!

Are there more details? Calling someone a name is not defamation. It may have hurt his feelings, and he may have not liked it, but simply being called a name does not fit the grounds for defamation. Now if he told some type of lie about the person to intentionally harm his reputation, then it would be defamation.

If the poster just simply called someone a name, then this will fall under appeal - as it should.

It depends on what name he called him. If it was "Asshole" you are correct, but if it was "Thief" that's a different story and it most definitely is defamation.

Well that was my point - needs more details. If he is ruling because the guy called him a moron, then that is a problem.
