Problem with high voltage transmission lines, you don't need to touch em, you can just get a tad bit too close and they'll reach out to touch you!

I believe that's how it pulls the great source of water toward it (a living body)

Glad you are ok! I received a really nasty electric shock as a teenager. Been leery about it ever since. Hell, I'll cut off power to the house to install a ceiling fan!

Had a similar thing happen only it was with cattle. A 3 phase line blew down and had 47 heifers walk into it. Killed every single one. When we found them the electricity was still sparking and the cattle looked burnt where contact was made. Luckily our insurance and the electric company paid for the cattle.
