Bear Season

Caught this guy on cam near where I'll be in my stand on Saturday morning. Was assuming it would just be deer I was after, but with bear archery season starting Saturday as well it got me thinking about this guy walking up on me. Anybody taken down a bear during archery season? Cam was setup in the dark and in the rain so we didn't get a good shot of how big he is.

Cherokee County. This is the first one I have seen, but I was really late getting cams up.

Always been told if a bears ears are on top of his head, it's a young one. If the ears are more to the side of its head it's an older bear. Sticking one with an arrow will make that thumper beat like very few things in life will!

His ears are huge and he has a skinny neck/head. Let him get older...
