Shoot and zero. Guesswork otherwiseI have just installed a red dot. I haven't shot the gun, so I don't know how well the iron sights are sighted in.
Anyway, the red dot is not aligned with the iron sights.
Can any of you who have experience with the 1301 confirm the iron sights are on target from the factory?
Yes. Of course. But I was going to make the 1st rough adjustment to match the iron sights prior to range time.Shoot and zero. Guesswork otherwise
Since most red dots are generally parallax free, they won't really seem to match up with iron sights. Yes, it should be pretty close, at least close enough to finish zeroing it it. Are your iron sights co-witnessed with the optic? That's my preference as you can just turn the optic off, check/confirm iron zero and then do the same with the red dot.I have just installed a red dot.
