Just thought that I would throw this out here. More and more products of all types these days come with NO OWNERS MANUAL. You can go to the beretta site and download any manual that you need.
I have just installed a red dot. I haven't shot the gun, so I don't know how well the iron sights are sighted in.
Anyway, the red dot is not aligned with the iron sights.
Can any of you who have experience with the 1301 confirm the iron sights are on target from the factory?

Yes. Of course. But I was going to make the 1st rough adjustment to match the iron sights prior to range time.
Since most red dots are generally parallax free, they won't really seem to match up with iron sights. Yes, it should be pretty close, at least close enough to finish zeroing it it. Are your iron sights co-witnessed with the optic? That's my preference as you can just turn the optic off, check/confirm iron zero and then do the same with the red dot.

I have put everything from light target loads to slugs. never had a single issue cycling. best shotgun I've ever owned hands down
I know Beretta says to clean it after every outing.

I had a chance to shoot my new 1301 tactical mod 2 with Chisel stock.
It was the first time I had shot it. I had mounted a Holosun 507 comp red dot.
The Holosun needed very little adjustment and was suitable for 25 yard shots before any adjustments.
I shot slugs to sight in.
Then I shot Hornady Critical Defense 00 buck at different ranges to check pattern.
I am very impressed!!
The combo gets 5 stars out of 5 stars.
I have to admit those high brass slugs had a little recoil.😁
The Critical Defense ammo was a welcome change.
The shake awake feature and location of the Holosun makes it so easy and fast for target acquisition. I need reading glasses for most anything up close - NOT the Holosun.
Can you tell I'm a fan?
It was an expensive purchase, but I have ZERO buyer's remorse.
