Best and worst gun stores in northeast ga

Georgia Gun Store in Gainesville is the standard that the other LGS want to be at!

Plus one. Also if you’re near Loganville then Brandon at ESS is great. Not a giant selection but fair prices and easy to deal with. I live in Athens and don’t hate Franklins like some do but don’t buy anything there either. Now the place who’s name rhymes with “Slide Farmory” don’t get me started....I’m sure that used Glock in 45GAP is actually worth $500...

Soooooo I should not go to Franklin's! Check!

Best: Sandy Springs Gun Club has always treated me right. 4th Armory in Marietta rocks too! They always go above and beyond to help. Also, GA Firing line makes the list. Funny story, they really pissed me off when I went in there about 4 years ago. I gave them another chance about a year ago and TOTALLY different experience. I must say there's some good peeps in there now!

I won't bash them, but Adventure Outdoors or Sharp Shooters in Alpharetta won't get another dollar out of me.
I totally agree with you on Sharp shooters and Adventure outdoors ...same experience..

Well hello post from 3 years ago lol.

Since we’re on it the subject, Martin’s Coin & Firearms gets my vote, especially for higher end stuff. I bought a MPX TACOPS from them last year. Great guys to deal with and they knew their stuff. I also picked up a 1911 from Dawsonville Gun. The guy I dealt with knew his stuff and seemed very honest. He actually sold me a slightly cheaper gun than what I was looking at. I’d deal with both businesses again for sure. Without throwing others under the bus, *cough cough* I’ll walk out of places and never walk back in the moment I get someone who’s cocky, arrogant, dishonest, or doesn’t seem to care I’m there.

I also want to throw a special thumbs up to TruPrep (@TruPrep) in Marietta. I remember when they first opened and have watched them grow. You can tell they’re gun guys and care. It shows. The owner’s a great guy too. I don’t remember his name, but we sat out shooting the **** in the parking lot one night for an hour or so. To my point, they care and are true gun guys. I’ve never taken a class, but the stuff they offer seems top notch. Great products too. And free FFL transfers? :thumb:

+1 on Martins Coin and Firearms. The unknown gem in north Alpharetta. If you are looking for knowledgable folks and ones who stock some very nice guns and accessories, it's worth the trip. If you don't know who they are, stop by when you are in the area. Around Highway 9 and Windward Parkway. Not a huge shop but well worth the time to find them.

Anyone a range member at AO? I’m trying to get that shockwave at “Range Member Pricing”
