I saw him open for AC/DC in 85 at the Omni. Kind of a novelty thing. Then I sat through it again opening for Iron Maiden in 87. It got old quick and the audience let it be known.

I was backstage the night SRV met Bowie and got his big break.
Great days and a sorely missed artist.
