For range play, the single most accurate straight out of the box handgun I've ever shot is a Beretta 92. I have one, and I love the thing for punching holes in paper.

I second the Sig 226 Tac Ops, solid weapon out of the box with aftermarket options improve the trigger if you wanted - I never felt the need.

It appears Checkmate Ind. makes the Staccato mags and most of the Turkish 1911 DS's will accept them too. You can shop around for them and the Mec Gar's always run good in whatever they are made for. I have them for Sig 226, Beretta's and the Hi Power..no problems.

Cajuned cz, 92x. If you not going to get shadow or cajunize a regular Cz, then get the 92x.i love Cz but the 92x is a lighter da, with a shorter reset out off the box.

The H&K I had in mind was out of range, but yes Sir, I agree, the 92 was the first 9mm I felt comfortable with. I thought I was doing good with others.
