Best scope for .300 wing mag long range and for .270 hunting rifle

I picked up a Trijicon Ascent 3-12x40 about a year ago... have been pretty impressed for the money

Mine is just on a 6.5 Grendel but very clear at 500yds... I wound up catching it on sale for $425 and it was well worth it... Wouldn't hesitate to snag another.

NightForce SHV 4-14 or go 5-20 to double as a long range rifle when hunting season is out of session. And those are SFP if I remember correctly.

All depends on budget and use. If you’re hunting 500 yards in there’s really no reason to spend thousands of dollars unless you just want to. I run a vortex razor lht on my 300 but they’re $1200 or so. Check out Tract Optics, they have several good ones, I run one of theirs on a 6.5 and its really nice. I’d say no reason to go major magnification unless you just want to, I’m in the 500 or under category too and i run the 3-15x42. Good luck.
