Biggest bitch of a firearm to disassemble

Ruger Mark series, yes.
Ever f****'n time I have to strip one and reassemble it, I have to AT LEAST get out the instruction manual, if not pull up a YouTube video on my phone.
I owned two of these for most of the 1990s through about 2008. Even after all those years I never got used to it, although admittedly I'd only strip it about once every 5 or 6 range sessions. The rest of the time, I'd just clean the bore from the muzzle end and wipe down as much of the bolt as I could reach.

Now my Mark II and Mark III are both sold off and a Browning Buck Mark fills the role of ".22 plinker and open-sighted rimfire action match pistol." A High Standard Victor fills the role of serious competition pistol for NRA bullseye matches.

Re: Nylon 66 - they were made so you weren't supposed to have to clean them but every 10 years or so.

Nylon 66 and 1911. I almost had to take the 66 to a gunsmith to get that mother back together.

Try a Winchester 100. You have to unbolt the top sling swivel and pull the bolt back to disassemble it. If you don't keep it clean the bolt won't go back to disassemble it.

I agree 100%. They are the worst I've tried.

Ok guys I will help you out from your burdensome Mark series Rugers. If you can't get it back together it is obviously broken. So I will give you $75 for them.
