Binary Triggers

I thought it would be fun to have one on my S&W 15-22, but I'm not interested in paying $300 for an upgrade to a rifle that cost about that same amount.

Yeah, that's their biggest downside, they cost a good amount of money. Although to be fair, there's some $400 AR triggers out there that I also think are way too expensive, and they don't even add another mode.

im also highly debating one for an mp5, they are friggin pricey but as you point out, way better than 30k. I really just want one for that and a 10/22 one

So the HK one is 'universal' across all HK platforms that use the standard trigger pack. They give you 90% of the trigger pack in the kit, but there's a couple of parts they expect you to strip out of your original. I did go on HK parts and order those, so that way I could easily swap the trigger pack around without having to disassemble it each time.

Also, I had some light primer strikes with both springs they had in the kit (one for pistol calibers, and the other for rifles). The hammer spring is just a standard AR part with the lower legs chopped down a little, so after talking with them I ordered a Wolff heavy duty spring and that made it run like a champ.

The AR and the CZ ones had no issues at all, but the HK one may take some finessing.

Binray triggers are a fun range toy, but I don't care for Franklin because of the price of the products and the owner Jay Jacobson. The best example of this is the AK-C1 which retails for $499.00 and doesn't use the standard ak selector.

Now I know what some of you are going to say. "cAn YOu MaKE OnE", well some what. I got a associate to make one that uses the standard ak selector. Total cost $130.00

Here is a video of mine.

Second video to show you the side by side of the AK-C1 and this homemade binary

The one for the 10/22 does look neat, but I will wait until I see one for a really good dea/

Yeah, that does look kind of strange with the stubby selector. Looks like there's a lot of caveats too, about what AKs it's work with.

I guess I can see that for the AK platform though, the EVO, HK, ARs, etc. are all a lot more standardized than AKs are.

I actually burned the coating off my Griffin MSD-II (223/5.56) using a binary. The can is full auto rated, but the paint wasn't.

Most 22 cans probably don't expect to get that hot. In fact I'd be curious on how the 15/22 would handle it.

I bought a binary from cmc it was only about $180

I looked them up, but don't see a binary on their site? What model do you have?
